Whether you are firing up a Career Mode, playing Online Seasons or looking to gain the upper hand on your mates in Exhibition Mode, we’ve got you covered.
Here is our top ten most exciting 4.5 and 5-star teams to play with this year.

4.5 star teams

Spurs
For all intents and purposes to a man, the Spurs group saw their FIFA 18 evaluations soar off the back of completing second in the Premier League in 2016-17 with an amazing focuses aggregate of 84.
No less than six of Spurs' players represented the best 30 evaluated Premier League players including Christian Eriksen who was given a 87 general rating and Hugo Lloris, who at 88 is the third-best goalkeeper in the division. Harry Kane, in the interim, is 86 yet without a doubt in line to go up for all time in the new year in the event that he keeps up his shape.
Regardless of whether Online Seasons, Career Mode or only a decent antiquated Exhibition well disposed is what you're after, Spurs appear to take into account all needs as they have a youthful, gifted group that is solid from back to front.
Napoli
One of the most impressive units in European football right now, Maurizio Sarri’s side is an extremely well organised, sleek, well oiled, free-flowing football machine that is taking Serie A by storm.
On FIFA 18, their team has quality running through it all over, from the imperious Kalidou Koulibaly (84 rated) in the middle of the defence, to Marek Hamsik (87) in central midfield and the rapid front three in the attack.
If you are the kind of FIFA player that aims to defeat an opponent through rapid movement up front, meanwhile, Napoli are your team. All three of Dries Mertens, Lorenzo Insigne and Jose Callejon, possess 90 stats for pace which just goes to show how dangerous they can be.
Liverpool
Discussing fearsome assaulting trios, Liverpool's front three on FIFA 18 is really intense as well, what with Mohamed Salah (83) and Sadio Mane (84) meandering the flanks menacingly and one of Roberto Firmino or Daniel Sturridge driving the line.
Mane was criminally underrated on FIFA 17 and he has gotten a sizeable lift to his rating this year going from 79 to 84. Somewhere else, Coutinho is a flawless player to use in the diversion on account of his adjust and 88 spilling rating.
Going ahead, Liverpool are a counterpart for any club, yet at the back, they have been vulnerable as of late. On FIFA 18, their resistance isn't the best however in Joel Matip (83) they seemingly have the most overwhelmed protector on the diversion.

Borussia Dortmund
Always a good choice to play with on FIFA, Borussia Dortmund remain an attractive proposition this year, even though Ousmane Dembele (who has been bumped up to 83 this year) departed the club to join Barcelona.
The Frenchman isn’t really missed on FIFA 18, though, as you can either replace him with Andriy Yarmolenko (who is finally on the game after leaving Dynamo Kiev) or Christian Pulisic, who can rise to an 89 rating on Career Mode.
Finally, there’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has become a cult hero for FIFA players across the globe for his ridiculous pace, and his 96 rating for sprint speed is only bettered by an ICON version of Ronaldo (which is 97, if you’re wondering).
AC Milan
Perhaps one to bookmark for a stint in Career Mode rather than anything else as while AC Milan bought impressively in the summer, a number of their signings were young and still have relatively low ratings.

There is a serious amount of potential in the Rossoneri’s ranks, though, with Gianluigi Donnarumma potentially rising to 94 on career mode, Franck Kessie (87) as well as Andre Silva, Suso and Manuel Locatelli (all to 86)

If you do want to play with Milan on Exhibition Mode there is enough to work with, notably, thanks to them having the best defender on the game in Leonardo Bonucci (88) and free-kick superstar, Hakan Calhanoglu (93 free kick accuracy).

5 star teams

Manchester City

The darlings of the media right now thanks to their entertaining, gung-ho style of attacking football, Manchester City are absolutely rampant in the Premier League right now.

Pep Guardiola has an embarrassment of riches to call upon and on FIFA 18, their squad is scary. Up front, there’s Sergio Aguero (89 rated) and Gabriel Jesus (87 pace) and that’s just the start with Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane to choose from on the flanks.
And then there’s David Silva (87 rated) and Kevin De Bruyne (89) pulling the strings in midfield. The only thing you’ll have to worry about is getting the balance right, but even then City’s defence on the game is pretty strong (you can actually play Vincent Kompany, unlike in real life). They have no weaknesses…
Real Madrid
Options galore for Real Madrid on FIFA 18. They might not have made any major signings, but a host of their squad players stepped up massively last year and have been rewarded with handsome upgrades.
Isco, who flourished at the tip of a 4-4-2 diamond as Real won La Liga and the Champions League, has a basic rating of 86, while Casemiro and Raphael Varane have both inched up to 85 ratings.
Whether you go like-for-like with Zidane’s current system or look to use Cristiano Ronaldo (again the game’s best player) and Gareth Bale as rapid wing forwards, few teams will be a match for Real.

PSG
PSG were reasonably good fun to play with on FIFA 17 but the loss of Zlatan Ibrahimovic hit them hard. This year, though, their squad is formidably strong, thanks to the signings of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
Neymar, again the third-best player on the game with a 92 rating, is a game-changing signing for the Parisiens both in real life and on your console of choice, while Mbappe has leapt up from a 71 basic rating last year to an 83 this time around.
And just look at that bench… if you plan on using Unai Emery’s 4-3-3, the likes of Julian Draxler, Lucas Moura (a big asset on FIFA thanks to his pace) and Angel Di Maria, could all well miss out.

USA Women
There are still limitations to women’s football on FIFA 18 and it will be interesting to see whether EA Sports branches out in the future to cater for a female Journey Mode or allow women’s teams to play against their male counterparts.
For now, though, Exhibition Mode will have to do and EA have at least added some new playable teams. Still, though, you can’t get better than the USWNT who are the pick of the women’s teams.
In Alex Morgan, they boast an 86-rated striker which is deserving given her accomplishments in the game, while in midfield you can find the 92 rated Carli Lloyd who has racked up a phenomenal 244 appearances (and counting) for her country.
Argentina
Another international side, but this time in the men’s game. Argentina only sneaked into the World Cup in their final game and thank goodness they managed it in the end. Who wants a World Cup without Lionel Messi, after all?
Messi is, obviously, outrageously good on FIFA 18 and the supporting cast isn’t exactly bad either, with his long-term heir Paulo Dybala one of the picks of the game on Ultimate Team this year after being handed an 88 rating.
Admittedly, we assembled an attack-heavy side in the above graphic but just look at how much talent there is! If you fancy yourself to outscore any opponent on FIFA 18, Argentina is the team for you.
